JACQUES
LIPCHITZ (1876-1957)
Russian-born
artist (present-day Lithuania) who became the leading cubist sculptor
in Paris. He was a close friend of Modigliani, who painted a double
portrait of Lipchitz and his wife Berthe, which is featured in this
exhibition.
